Supporting SANDS: Helping Families Through Loss
SANDS, (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society) a charity that supports families who have lost a baby.
At the Cater Plus Foundation, we believe in standing beside those facing life’s toughest challenges. One of the organisations we are deeply honoured to support is SANDS New Zealand, a not-for-profit group dedicated to helping parents and whānau who have experienced the heart-breaking loss of a baby.
Over the past 2 years the money raised through our annual charity golf event went to assist SANDS in their invaluable work. Their support provides comfort, resources, and a compassionate community for grieving families, ensuring they don’t have to navigate their loss alone.
To further our reach, we also supported a nationwide cupcake campaign where more than 70 Cater Plus Cafes/Kitchens sold cupcakes raising awareness and encouraging conversations about pregnancy and infant loss in New Zealand.
Our partnership with SANDS is about more than just fundraising; it’s about fostering understanding, offering support, and raising awareness of pregnancy, baby, and infant loss. We are proud to contribute to their mission and help them continue providing care to families in need.
We look forward to continuing this meaningful partnership and encourage others to learn more about SANDS and the vital work they do.
SANDS’ work is crucial in providing families with resources, emotional support, and a compassionate community during an incredibly difficult time. If you’d like to learn more or offer support, visit SANDS NZ.
